What a funny name, it comes from the fact that the house is located opposite the old prison d'Espalion, built between 1830 and 1838, active until 1933. Today, the prison has become the Museum of Manners and Customs. You will find nothing of a prison in the house, rather carefully renovated spaces, modern comfort, and bathroom and toilet for each room, so you will be in "prison", but in complete freedom.

At the crossroads of comfort and convenience is the prison guest house, where you can take full advantage of the many facilities and services that guarantee you a pleasant stay. From the house, you can reach Aubrac, Conques, Estaing, the Soulages museum, Rodez, the Bozouls hole, the Millau viaduct, etc.... all the major Aveyronnais sites. Do you like fishing? the Lot and many rivers will be at your disposal. Do you like nature ? mushroom picking, Deer Brame, skiing in Laguiole, all in the appropriate season, and weather permitting..
